We’re very excited to announce that applications will open for Rewriting the Code’s Fellowship Program in just 10 days, on April 1, 2019. This free, year-long program will run from August 2019 to September 2020.
The Fellowship Program is open to all undergraduate women pursuing a major in a tech-related course of study who are interested in a career in a technology field. It works hand-in-hand with what you are learning as an undergrad, and offers opportunities for coaching, educational programming, industry exploration, networking, and the potential for a summer internship or full-time job with one of Rewriting the Code’s partner organizations.
Applicants must:
- Be a current or incoming (Fall 2019) female student in a U.S. or Canadian college or university in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree
- Be entering their 1st-4th year as a female undergraduate student studying a subject that could lead to a career in tech (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, etc.)
- Produce a resume that clearly showcases experiences and projects that use the technical skills you have obtained in and out of the classroom
If you are already a Rewriting the Code community member you must still complete a separate application to join the Fellowship Program. Both Fellows and Members have access to participate with the community of college women from across the US and beyond, as well as take part in virtual programs, but Fellows will also have their resumes included in the talent database for the chance of being selected for a summer internship or permanent job along with more robust summer programming in select cities including mentoring opportunities.
